Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF), a 501 c (3) non-profit organization created in 2001, is a highly dedicated group of volunteers that rescues abandoned or displaced dogs and cats from the threat of euthanasia by area shelters or other at-risk situations. Since the creation of the foundation, 10,000 dog and cat lives have been saved by LDCRF’s rescue and rehabilitation efforts. Each and every one of our cats and dogs are properly vetted and spayed or neutered before being put up for adoption. Each weekend, LDCRF conducts adoption events at pet supply stores in the DC-metro area. Volunteers interview and educate prospective adopters on the importance of proper veterinary care, nutrition, exercise, and obedience training to ensure a successful adoption for everyone involved. Unlike many capital area rescue leagues, LDCRF promotes same day adoptions and processing so families can bring their new member into their home immediately.

The K9-Karnival –October 11, 2008

Each Year, LDCRF hosts a K9 Karnival, inviting pets from the greater DC metro area to spend an afternoon playing canine games, competing in contests, and paddling away in a securely fenced pond. This year, the Karnival is on October 11, 2008 beginning at 11 am and ending at 3 pm.

The Karnival is held on the 23 acre Three Dog Farm in Purcellville, VA and attracts approximately 300 dogs and their owners. The Farm is completely enclosed so that no dog can escape.   The farm property includes a 5-acre pond where dogs can swim, splash, and cool off after taking part in the land activities. Pet exhibitors and a concessions stand are on hand, satiating and entertaining pets and people alike.

Exhibitors

The fee for sponsors/exhibitor participation is $100.00. We invite our sponsors to set up a table to feature their services and or merchandise. We would be happy to include information and coupons from our sponsors/exhibitors in our gift bags. If merchandise is sold, all monies collected will belong to the vendor unless the vendor states otherwise. All sponsors/exhibitors will be listed at the event as well as on the LDCRF website. Any sponsor who is unable to attend may have their business information and cards displayed on the information table during the event.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 11th, 2008 from 11am to 3pm. It will be located at “3 Dog Farm”, 15268 Shannondale Road, Purcellville, VA 20132-5217. We ask that all attending sponsors/vendors arrive by 10:00 am and stay the entire time, though you may certainly leave your table to enjoy some of the activities.
