He loves to play and wrestle with his siblings and foster parents, but as soon as something frightens him, this big softy runs to snuggle on the nearest open lap. Cub always wants to be near his foster parents, so he will need a family that can give him a lot of love and a lot of attention. Cub loves to chase balls (and then bring them back to the nearest open lap to chew on them), chew on sticks, and do general exploring outside. But his favorite activity is actually cooling down by splashing and digging in his outside doggy pool (you might notice his paws and legs are wet in his picture). Not only does this adorable boy have a very interesting coat, he actually has blue eyes as well, so he is truly a unique looking pup. We are estimating that Cub will be large when he grows up - maybe around 65 lbs. This happy boy is truly a joy of a puppy and just needs to find a human that can give him lots of love and attention. You can't see it in her picture, but she has long legs and she knows it, always jumping, running, and pouncing. She loves to race up and down the stairs and jump up onto chairs that her shorter-legged siblings can't reach. She is more independent than her siblings, preferring to play on her own and run back to check on her humans every once in a while. However, she expects lots of love and attention when she does come back to check in, so she needs a family that will play and interact with her. Like her sister, Yankee is always up for wrestling with her foster parents, and is always at the front of the pack, ready to play. Although Yankee warms up quickly, she has initially been apprehensive of the kids that she meets, hiding behind her foster parents until she feels comfortable to come out and play. She also needs a family that can teach her about her puppy manners - especially jumping (who could resist with those long springy legs), and digging. We estimate that Yankee will be about 55 lbs full grown. Yankee really is a beautiful and sweet girl and deserves a loving home. He is an extremely happy dog and has been a wonderful house guest. He is completely house trained and crate trained, although, this sweetie is trustworthy to roam loose in the house while his foster is gone. He is a very easy-going and mellow guy. He sleeps through the night on his little doggy bed and doesn't move until his foster wakes up. He likes going on car rides and hangs his head out the window. He enjoys going on walks but likes snuggling on the couch even better! He gets along with everyone and is easy enough for a first time pet owner. This sweetheart lived her life outside in a kennel having puppies. She and her last litter finally found there way to a rescue group, who found homes for the pups and made sure Quiche had a safe trip to Lost Dog. She was a bit scared at first, and is still nervous in new situations, so will need someone willing to help her blossom. She loves people, and loves to curl up in a little ball on the bed with you. She has an old injury in her left eye which makes her blind in that eye, but it doesn't stop her from enjoying nice walks outside! This beautiful girl came into the shelter with her sister Susie, and they were both clearly someone's pet. Both Sarah is obedient, well-trained, docile, and affectionate, so we can't imagine why someone wouldn't come claim these her! Sarah has a moderate activity level, and enjoys curling up and basking in the presence of their family. She is housetrained and walk well on a leash. Sarah could be nicknamed "shadow" because she loves to follow people around, like a small child. Sarah's favorite thing is a scratch her behind her ears. Sarah is a fast runner, and, given the opportunity and training, she could be good at agility activities. Vixen was a fabulous mother to her puppies and loves to receive love and cuddles almost as much as she likes to give them. While her cuddly nature is unlike the typical husky, the rest of her personality is very much husky. This girl is high energy, high drive and extremely intelligent. Her difficult past and lack of socialization has left her fearful of new situations but with patience and training she can continue to improve in a new home.
