I wanted to reach out and share that we had 17 wonderful years with our sweet Marley Bob. We adopted him at 10 weeks old back in 2007 at a LDCRF adoption event in the Leesburg PetSmart. He was the only male left in his litter, his sisters were picking on him, and his name was Jethro. A child who I can only assume was associated with the foster family picked him up and put him in my arms, laying on his back. He didn’t budge, and I knew then he was the one.
Marley let us know it was time for him to go on the morning of February 22nd. Today (3/25) is the day that we have always celebrated his birthday. I just wanted to share some pictures, and thank you all once again for bringing our “once in a lifetime dog” into our lives. There will never be another like him, and this huge hole in our hearts needs some time to heal. We will eventually be back to rescue again, and maybe even foster.
